Choosing water-based products is more advisable than products containing
oil or petroleum contents. Honey is regarded as a disinfectant and is believed to have medicinal properties that are proven in healing minor blemishes. A honey mask applied once a week may destroy bacteria thriving on the skin. |
Wash the face with a sulfur-based soap touching smoothly two times a
day, preferably after you wake up and before bed. Scrubbing is not advisable.
Of note, too much washing of the skin may create further irritation..
Short hair is more advisable over long hair. Hair contains oil and may
accumulate dirt. As the long hair makes contact with the face or neck,
this may worsen the case. Hair should be washed daily.
Take a multivitamin daily. Your skin may be needing nutritional supplements
which may not be provided in your diet.
It is recommended to take chromium supplements to quickly heal the pimples.
Vitamin A is needed in the diet as it may help to protect and prevent the skin from acne. It may also aid in the reduction of sebum.
Remove make-up before going to bed. The use of any types of cold creams and lotions is not advisable. Choose cosmetics that are water based and not oil-based.
Eight glasses of water a day will significantly cleanse and hydrate the skin and provide over-all good health.
Never squeeze or pop pimples because this may cause irritation and inflammation. It may also push the dirt deeper into the skin and may cause swelling. Popping and squeezing may leave permanent scars on the skin surface.
It is good to avoid using alcohol-based lotions.
Changing or washing your pillow case on a daily basis can be helpful.
Include zinc in daily food items as a low content of this may cause acne breakouts.
You must not wear tight clothes once you get acne on your body.
People infected with acne must avoid sun exposure and should use UVA/UVB
sunscreen, making sure not to use oil-based sunscreens.
Moderate exercise helps with blood circulation for acne prevention.
